Vögele is bringing a pair of recently updated asphalt pavers to the Bauma trade show in Munich, Germany, October 24th to 30th. Available in certain markets since April of this year, the latest Super 1300 tracked paver and Super 1303 wheeled model will nevertheless be new to many of the show’s attendees.

The Super 1300 and 1303 are part of Vögele’s Classic Line series, offering compactness, ease of use, and value for the money. With pave widths between 2.5 and 16.4 feet (0.75 and 5 meters), the new machines are designed for small and midsize construction jobs on a tight schedule.

    Versatile & Adjustable

Vögele’s tracked Super 1300 and wheeled Super 1303 have an asphalt laydown rate of up to 386 tons (350 metric tons) per hour. The pavers’ 100-horsepower (74-kilowatt) diesel engines comply with EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage 3a emissions standards.

The Super 1300 and 1303 work well with Vögele’s AB 340 extending screed, the manufacturer says. Available compacting units include a tamper bar (T), a vibrator (V), or a combination of the two (TV). The AB 340 screed’s nominal paving widths are between 5.9 and 11.2 ft (1.8 and 3.4 m). However, cut-off shoes can reduce the width to 2.5 ft, and bolt-on extensions can expand the screed’s paving width up to 16.4 ft.

    Intuitive Controls

The two Classic Line pavers operator control concept, ErgoBasic, is a simplified version of the ErgoPlus 3 system from the Premium Line of pavers. ErgoBasic presents the operator with the essentials of machine operation using the same icons as ErgoPlus 3, so users who learn how to run the Super 1300 or 1303 can carry over that knowledge to the more complex Vögele paver models. The instrument panel has glare-free backlighting for low-light conditions.

Vögele also offers the Super 1300 and 1303 with the optional Niveltronic Basic system for automated grade and slope control. Using a remote control, the user can operate Niveltronic Basic separately for each side of the screed. The system is compatible with variable mechanical height sensors, non-contacting ultrasonic sensors, and laser receivers from Vögele.
