Multiquip Introduces Compact LS300GK Concrete Pump Powered By A Gas Engine

Multiquip recently introduced a new LG300GK compact concrete pump with oversized material cylinders for high output and an 85-horsepower Kubota WG-3800 gas engine. (Photo courtesy of Multiquip.)

Multiquip has launched a new compact, gas-powered, trailer-mounted Mayco LG300GK concrete pump that it says fills a neglected niche for efficiently placing 2-inch (5.1-centimeter) line mixes, structural concrete containing up to 1.5-in. (3.8-cm) aggregate, and everything in between. The hydraulic swing-tube model is ideal for compaction grouting, footing, masonry block fill, shotcrete, and other applications. It has a variable volume output from 0 to 30 cubic yards (22.9 cubic meters) per hour.

    "Unique & Distinct"

“We designed the LS300GK to be unique and distinct from other pumps in this market segment,” says Warren Faler, Multiquip product manager for concrete pumps. “With an output rated at 30 yards per hour, it easily handles up to 1.5-in. aggregate. We also oversized the material cylinders, choosing a 6-in. design that creates a maximum piston face pressure of 800 psi.”

    A Look At The LS300GK

The LS300GK is powered by a Kubota WG-3800 engine rated for 85 horsepower (63.3 kilowatts). Multiquip says compared to diesel-powered options, the power plant brings added value to contractors by providing exceptional, reliable performance in an economical package. (Multiquip also sells an LS450 diesel-powered model that has a Hatz 74.5-HP (55.5-kW) engine and an output of up to 45 cu yds (34.4 cu m) per hour.) Multiquip says the LS300GK’s 6-in.-diameter concrete cylinders with 24-in (61-cm) stroke ensures the machine can smoothly pump even low slump concrete mix designs. The LS300GK also provides a “true reverse” feature that helps avoid line blockages through instant reversal of the pump stroke at any point in the pumping cycle.

Other features worth noting include a 10-cu-foot (0.283-cu-m) hopper that can be removed to access components and perform maintenance. A solid-sate Digital Control Panel (DCP) allows operators to monitor diagnostics and machine performance. Available options include a wireless radio remote with 500-ft (153-m) range, rear hydraulic outriggers, and air or electric vibrators for the hopper screen. Customers who favor wireless remote control functionality can opt for the LS300GKWR variant that comes with the capability pre-installed.
