Mack Reveals Truck Lineup For 2023 World Of Concrete Next Week In Las Vegas
Mack Trucks has announced plans to bring a trio of construction truck models to the 2023 World of Concrete event in Las Vegas, Nevada. These include a Mack Granite concrete mixer, a Mack TerraPro concrete pumper, and a Mack MD7 medium-duty dump truck. The show will be held January 17 to 19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Mack plans to make a product update announcement the morning of the 17th.
Concrete & Dump Models
The Mack Granite concrete mixer scheduled for World of Concrete is a 6x4 day cab equipped with a Con-Tech BridgeKing mixer. Its Mack MP7-425C engine generates 425 horsepower (317 kilowatts) and 1,560 pounds-foot (2,115 newton-meters) of torque. Attached to the motor are a Mack ClearTech One exhaust aftertreatment system and a Mack PowerLeash engine brake.
The Granite also has a 20,000-pound (9,100-kilogram) FXL20 front axle, Mack GuardDog Connect telematics (described below), and the electronic Mack Road Stability Advantage system.
The Mack TerraPro concrete pump truck headed to Las Vegas is fitted with a Putzmeister Telebelt telescopic conveyor. Its MP7-395C engine produces 395 HP (295 kW) and 1,550 lbs-ft (2,102 N-m) of torque. The TerraPro rides on a 20,000-lb FXL20 front axle, a 44,000-lb (19,950-kg) S440 rear axle, and a terrain-following Mack Camelback rear suspension. Like the Granite mixer truck, the pumper comes with Mack ClearTech One and Mack GuardDog Connect.
Mack says its MD7 medium-duty truck is as reliable and durable as its Class 8 models. The 4x2 dump model the manufacturer is bringing to World of Concrete has a 6.7-liter Cummins ISB engine and an Allison 3000 RDS six-speed transmission. Other features of the truck include a Mack Air high-backed driver’s seat and a GeoTab telematics system.
Remote Technologies
Mack’s GuardDog Connect telematics system monitors a truck’s status as it operates. Mack OneCall support staff can diagnose issues, proactively schedule repairs, and arrange for parts availability with minimal disruption to the truck’s uptime.
Mack Over The Air (OTA), meanwhile, facilitates remote software updates and other updates in the field. Mack OTA is a subscription service that’s free for the first two years of ownership.
