Bobcat To Showcase New Electric Concept Machines, Autonomous Tech & More At ConExpo
Bobcat will showcase several of its recent efforts in the areas of electrification, autonomous operation, and digital technologies at the 2023 ConExpo-Con/Agg convention starting tomorrow in Las Vegas. The compact equipment manufacturer will introduce two new electric concept machines on day one at its W41544 booth; the company will also display machines like the all-electric T7X track skid steer and battery-electric E10e, E19e, and E32e excavators.
Jobsite Awareness & Intelligent Control
Bobcat says it will showcase a collision warning and avoidance system set for availability next year for select wheel and track skid-steer loaders. The system tracks the position, direction, and speed of an object relative to the machine, and either warns the operator or automatically stops the machine if detecting the object is in the loader’s path. Bobcat will also highlight its Intelligent Control System. Used with the E60 excavator, the system aims to enhance operator performance during grading, trenching, slewing, and other tasks. Find out more at the show about future capabilities like advanced depth check features, remote operation, and autonomous functionality.
You Can’t See It
A productivity and efficiency-enhancing advanced display technology concept Bobcat will showcase features a transparent head-up touch display that can be positioned on a machine’s windshield or a cab side window. Bobcat MaxControl remote control technology, meanwhile, was introduced in 2021 and enables using videogame-like tactical joystick and button operations with a smartphone or tablet to remotely control a machine from a safe distance.
Machine IQ & Features on Demand
Attendees can also learn about Bobcat’s subscription-based Machine IQ wireless communications service; it enables accessing current and historical data anytime, anywhere to monitor machine health and track information remotely to enhance machine maintenance, security, and performance. The Features on Demand program, meanwhile, was introduced in 2020 and lets customers add features to certain R-Series compact loaders to meet changing needs. A new auto throttle feature lets users automatically apply engine rpm during tasks to enhance efficiency and conserve fuel.
