Liebherr’s THP 80-LP Truck-Mounted City Concrete Pump Makes U.S. Debut With On-Site Concrete
On-Site Concrete of Minot, North Dakota, has become the first U.S. customer to acquire a Liebherr THP 80-LP concrete pump. The manufacturer designed it specifically for North American customers looking for a mobile city pump with compact dimensions, high performance, and the ability to work in small spaces.
The International MV607 truck mated to the THP 80-LP requires no commercial driver's license (CDL), so the rig is drivable by more workers on the site.
Although the THP 80-LP line pump is the largest in On-Site Concrete’s fleet, it’s also the smallest pump in Liebherr’s truck¬-mounted concrete pump product line.
“The THP 80-LP perfectly caters to our customers’ demands,” says On-Site Concrete owner Kevin Cross. “Whether it be concrete footings, walls, or large commercial flatwork projects, this pump can handle it all. The accessible control panel, all-in-one features, and built-in emergency mode set this pump apart from any other model on the market.
“Controlling the surge and flow of concrete is flawless,” Cross continues. “Whether using 300 feet of 2.5-inch hose or pumping directly out the back end, this pump excels in all scenarios. And the pressure washer feature is a game-changer for end-of-day cleanups.”
High Performance From A Compact Liebherr Pump
Based on Liebherr's open-loop hydraulic circuit, the THP 80-LP can supply high pressure or a high output range. It has a maximum flow rate of 56 cubic yards (43 cubic meters) per hour and a maximum concrete pressure of 1,813 pounds per square inch (125 bar), as measured from the piston end.
From the rod end, the city pump flows up to 93 cu y (71 cu m) per hour at up to 1,088 psi (75 bar). An inlet larger in diameter than the pump cylinder enhances suction performance, even on difficult types of concrete.
The THP 80-LP line pump has a 159-gallon (602-liter) hopper capacity and a 12,456-pound (5,650-kilogram) assembly weight. Its split wear plates allow for quick maintenance, while its HBC remote control lets the operator stand in the safest spot with the best view during operation.
The International truck on which On-Site Concrete’s THP 80-LP city pump is mounted has an Allison automatic transmission and weighs less than 23,000 lbs (10,433 kg). The pump supplies a good deal of wide storage space for its concrete tubes. An easy setup procedure rounds out the THP 80-LP’s list of selling points.
The THP 80-LP: Built For America
“Liebherr's newly unveiled city pump demonstrates our commitment to the U.S. market,” says Liebherr Regional Sales Manager Sean Gallagher. “Specifically designed to address inner-city pumping challenges and the demands of those using truck-mounted trailer pumps, this addition completes our concrete pump portfolio. It’s more than just a product, it signifies Liebherr's dedication to understanding and fulfilling U.S. market needs, ensuring we remain a trusted partner for customers like On-Site Concrete.”
