New Holland recently introduced the all-new W100D compact wheel loader to its C Series lineup. Featuring a fully redesigned cab, seat-mounted joystick, and compatibility with a wide range of attachments, the W100D is a solid choice for construction crews, landscaping businesses, snow-removal providers, and agriculture operations alike.

“The W100D is all about giving the operator a better experience, from the layout of the cab to the responsiveness of the controls,” says Dan Kakareka, New Holland Construction North America product manager. “We’ve built this wheel loader to perform in the real world, where comfort, visibility, and intuitive design make a difference day in and day out.”

    A Cab Built For Work

The W100D is ready to help on a variety of jobsites, whether hauling mulch to a landscaping bed, leveling a driveway for concrete, removing snow from a parking lot, or transporting lumber across a construction site. To support operators in real-world working conditions, New Holland focused on improving in-cab space, visibility, control, and ease of use through features such as a redesigned windshield.

In addition to better views of the bucket edges and tires, the W100D provides easy access to real-time machine data from the new in-cab LED monitor and rearview camera. During long workdays, operators will appreciate the W100D’s adjustable, heated air-ride seat, high-visibility LED lighting, and new joystick. The joystick helps form a pilot control system that moves with the operator seat for what New Holland says is enhanced control.

    The W100D In Action

A Stage V-certified 4-cylinder FPT Industrial F5MGL413J engine powers the W100D. It’s rated for 112 gross horsepower (83.5 kilowatts) and 232 pounds-foot (315 newton-meters) of peak torque at 1,400 rpm. The power plant has a fuel-saving eco mode and auto idle functionality, and New Holland built the wheel loader with ride control and creep modes for even greater flexibility.

Customers tackling jobs demanding more specialized performance—such as running a stump grinder on a landscaping site—can upgrade to high-flow hydraulics. Additional options include an ISO-compatible coupler, though a JRB-compatible coupler is included, and a high-capacity 2.2-yard3 (1.7-meter3) light material bucket in place of the standard 1.9-yd3 (1.5-m3) bucket.

New Holland W100D specs include a lift capacity of 14,826 pounds (6,725 kilograms) at full height, 14,334 lbs (6,502 kg) at maximum reach, and 15,333 lbs (6,955 kg) on the ground. The wheel loader boasts a maximum breakout force of 15,806 pounds-force (7,170 kilograms-force) and an operating weight of 9.9 tons (9 metric tons).
