Create Showrooms For Your Brands & New Equipment On Your Hosted Website
A popular option for dealers with an active website hosted by Sandhills Global is a showroom. This is a virtual space dedicated to showcasing new inventory or models from a particular manufacturer. Dealers often use one or more showrooms to generate leads for high-margin retail sales of assets such as recently arrived items or brand-new models available to order.
Do You Want To Build A Showroom?
If you have an active hosted site, your Sandhills web designer can create and activate one or more showrooms for you for a low, monthly fee. The single fee allows your designer to create as many manufacturer showrooms as you need.
Showroom Manager, a new app in the Sandhills Cloud, lets you manage and customize your showroom(s). You can use it to select the inventory to populate each showroom on your site, add new models from a manufacturer to the lineup, and more. You can get the Showroom Manager tool from the Store in the Cloud.
Use The Showroom Manager App To Stock Your Virtual Showcase(s)
Showroom Manager lets you select the website domain you want to configure, as well as the name of the showroom, which can be a specific brand like Caterpillar or John Deere.
The app displays the manufacturer’s models by category, each with a checkbox you can use to include or exclude it from your showroom. You can check or uncheck multiple boxes at once using the Select All Models box and Select All/Deselect All boxes in each equipment category.
You can look for a particular model using the Search By Model field and narrow down your model choices using the inventory type and category filters. Note that if you don’t select any models, your showroom will default to displaying all models for that manufacturer. Click Save Showroom when you’re finished.
Brand-New Models
When a manufacturer adds new models to its lineup, be aware that they won’t automatically appear in your website’s showroom(s). You can use the Showroom Manager app whenever you need to add new models.
If a model is too new to appear in Showroom Manager, click Suggest Model Update. Enter the new model number or name in the pop-up window along with any relevant information. Sandhills will research the new model, verify it, and add it to the manufacturer’s showroom options.
