Mercedes-Benz Reveals New G-Class Limited Edition Models
Mercedes-Benz is celebrating the history of its G-Class line of luxury SUVs with a series of three limited edition models. The G 350 d Limited Edition, G 350 d Professional Limited Edition, and G 500 Limited Edition SUVs will all hit showrooms in January 2018, but are ready to order right now for those who are interested. Each model comes with different features and characteristics that make them unique from one another, but they all maintain that classic G-Class feel.
G 350 D Limited Editions
Although both of the Mercedes-Benz G 350 d models share the same basic naming convention, there are important differences between the two that will draw in different buyers. The G 350 Limited Edition, for example, sports a black metallic exterior with some brushed aluminum accents and a saddle brown leather interior.
The G 350 d Professional Limited Edition stands out from the crowd with its China Blue paint finish, the Professional Offroad package, which includes a roof rack, and the diamond fabric design on the center of the seats that harkens back to past models in the G-Class series. Both vehicles come with V6 engines, 245 horsepower, and roughly 442 ft.-lbs. of torque.
G 500 Limited Edition
The Mercedes-Benz G 500 Limited Edition is where you’ll see the most variation between the models, outside of just general finish and upholstery. It has a platinum paint finish with black accents as well as a black leather interior with white topstitching for contrast. This model, however, comes with a V8 engine with 422 horsepower and a slightly higher rated torque of just under 450 ft.-lbs.
Mercedes-Benz further differentiates these models by designating the G 350 d Limited Edition as the aesthete (for those that appreciate art and beauty), the 350 d Professional Limited Edition as the robust off-roader, and the G 500 Limited Edition as the extrovert. But make no mistake, each of the three models has plenty of style to spare as well as the power and performance to back it all up.
