Mack Truck Announces New Class 8 Vehicles For World Of Concrete 2018
Mack Trucks recently announced a lineup of new Class 8 vehicles that will be revealed as a part of the World of Concrete 2018 event being held at the Last Vegas Convention Center from January 23 through January 26. Three of the models on display are from the Mack Granite lineup, all of which come with fully updated interiors.
In addition to showing off its new vehicles, the company is also putting the spotlight on its body builder support platform, which includes a body builder order manager and a body builder support group. The benefit here is that this service will make it easier for people to customize their orders while also getting access to a large group of Mack experts who are there to help throughout the process.
Models On Display
World of Concrete 2018 attendees will get a chance to see five vehicles, which have quite a few similarities, but also some notable differences. For example, all of these trucks have the Mack MP7-425M engine, which offers up to 425 horsepower and 1,560 pound-foot (2,115 newton-meters) of torque. Also, the Mack Granite Axle Back and two Mack Granite Axle Forward models all come with new interiors, the Mack mDrive HD 14-speed automated manual transmission (AMT), Mack ClearTech One exhaust after-treatment system, and Mack GuardDog Connect telematics system.
The Mack Granite Axle Back is a standard concrete mixer with a 22,500-pound (10,206-kilogram) front axle and 46,000-pound (20,865-kilogram) rear axles. The first Mack Granite Axle Forward is a seven-axle bridge formula mixer with a 20,000-pound (9,072-kilogram) front axle and 46,000-pound (20,865-kilogram) rear axle. And the other Mack Granite Axle Forward has a dump body as well as an 18,000-pound (8,165-kilogram) front axle and a 38,000-pound (17,237-kilogram) rear axle.
In addition to these three models, there is also a Mack TerraPro Cabover concrete pumper with a Mack T310 10-speed manual transmission, a 20,000 lb. front axle and 150/151 rear axles with Mack Camelback suspension, and GuardDog Connect. Rounding out the group is a Mack Granite concrete pumper, which has the same front axle and rear axles as the TerraPro as well as GuardDog Connect support.
