Mack Rolls Out New Trucks At Work Truck 2018 Show
Mack Trucks, a globally recognized manufacturer of heavy-duty trucks, engines, and transmissions, and a subsidiary of the Volvo Group, is rolling several new trucks onto the show floor at the 2018 Work Truck Show, which will run March 6-9 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Two Rock-Solid Trucks
At the Indiana Convention Center in booth 3527, Mack plans to exhibit two models of its Mack Granite heavy-duty conventional straight trucks. The first truck is the Mack Granite Axle Forward with the Dump Body. This truck features a new interior and includes a Mack MP 7-425M engine with 425 horsepower and 1,560 pounds-foot (2,115 newton-meters) of torque and the Mack mDRIVE HD 14-speed automated manual transmission with ultra-low creeper gears. It comes with the ClearTech One next-generation exhaust aftertreatment system, Camelback SS38 suspension, 18,000-pound (8,165-kilogram) front axle, and 38,000-pound (17,237-kilogram) rear axle.
The other truck at the show is the Mack Granite Axle Forward, outfitted with a snowplow and belly plow. This truck highlights the line’s exceptional ground clearance, front frame extension for snow plow mounting, the Mack MP 8-455M 455-horsepower and 1,760 pounds-foot (2,386 newton-meters) torque engine, 20,000-pound (9,072-kilogram) front axle, and 46,000-pound (20,865-kilogram) rear axle.
Maximum Uptime
Mack Trucks also plans to introduce show attendees to its Mack GuardDog Connect advanced telematics and roadside assistance services, which come standard on every truck equipped with Mack MP engines, including the two models on display. The service is capable of continually monitoring the truck for critical faults and diagnostic data, and it can report its findings to Mack’s OneCall uptime agents, available day and night, to ensure that the truck is never off the road for long. Agents can quickly and easily identify problems, schedule repairs, and locate the necessary parts before the truck even gets to the shop, thanks to the Mack ASIST web-based service management system.
