Wabash National Corporation is highlighting new technologies and upfitting options for truck bodies from its Wabash National and Supreme brands at the NTEA Work Truck Show this week in Indianapolis, Indiana. For example, Supreme’s Kold King multi-temp truck bodies no longer have wood, steel, or rivets, which eliminates leaks and improves efficiency, and Wabash National’s Cold Chain series of refrigerated truck bodies use a lightweight molded structural composite (MSC) technology that is more durable than aluminum side walls. These innovations are a direct result of a research and development collaboration between the two brands.

“Our refrigerated customers count on us to build truck bodies that help keep their products cold, but our designs deliver even more,” says Jerry Hughes, product manager, refrigerated freight, at Wabash National. “We offer lightweight solutions to save money, stronger walls to reduce impact abrasion, and a variety of options to best meet our customers’ business needs.”

In addition to refrigerated truck bodies, Supreme is taking this opportunity to highlight recent updates made to its dry freight truck bodies at the event. One such update is to the brand’s lineup of Signature Van bodies, which will now feature a DuraPlate Cell Core technology that Wabash describes as “a durable, lightweight solution that is up to 150 pounds (68 kilograms) lighter than traditional wall materials and up to five times more puncture resistant.” Supreme will also show its Supreme Iner-City cutaway truck body with flat floor and Ranger Design shelving package, which is now available for Ford Transit vans.
