Kenworth Offering New Options For K270 & K370 Medium-Duty Trucks
Kenworth launched the newest iterations of its K270 and K370 trucks back in 2014, and just recently announced new options for the medium-duty cabover models. For example, both vehicles now have the option for Davco 245 fuel and water separators, which feature a battery disconnect switch located on the left-hand rail. The K370 has the most new options available, including upsized park and spring brakes, pusher tires, an 8K lift axle pusher, a Dana 1710 series driveline, Dana Spicer S23-172E 23K high entry axle, and Reyco 23K rear suspension. The new features make the K370 a fit for use as a delivery truck, dump truck, concrete mixer, or crane truck.
A Wider Range Of Applications
“These enhancements for the Kenworth K270 and K370 cabovers provide customers with more choices to expand the product line into a wider range of medium-duty applications,” says Kurt Swihart, marketing director for Kenworth. “Both vehicles provide customers with excellent maneuverability, ease of service, durability, exceptional visibility, and styling.”
More On The Kenworth Cabovers
Both the K270 and K370 feature 6.7-liter PACCAR PX-7 engines that produce 260 horsepower (194 kilowatts) and 660 pounds-foot (894.8 newton meters) of torque and come standard with 2100 HS Allison 5-speed automatic transmissions. They also have a BBC (bumper to back of cab) length of 63.4 inches (161 centimeters) that leave ample space for bodywork and a 55-degree wheel cut that gives each truck “a tighter turning radius and greater maneuverability,” Kenworth says. With a large windshield and three-person capacity, the K270 and K370 are well-suited for use in urban environments as well as for vocational applications.
