Mack Trucks To Highlight Granite, Pinnacle & Anthem Models At ExpoCam 2019

    Mack Trucks recently revealed the models it’s bringing to this year’s ExpoCam, which runs April 11-13 at Place Bonaventure in Montreal, Quebec. The lineup includes two Mack Anthems, one Mack Granite, and one Mack Pinnacle, all of which feature 13-liter Mack MP8 engines and mDRIVE automated manual transmissions. One of the Anthem models, along with the Pinnacle and Granite, have the rugged variant of the mDRIVE AMT transmission.

    All four 6x4 models on display at Mack’s booth 4259 also have the Mack ClearTech One exhaust after-treatment system, Mack GuardDog Connect integrated telematics, interior and exterior LED lighting, and premium seats co-developed by Mack and Sears Seating.

    Mack Anthems

    Both Mack Anthem models on display at ExpoCam 2019 have 70-inch standup sleeper cabs, Mack MP8-445E engines that produce 445 horsepower (331.8 kilowatts) and between 1,560 and 1,860 pounds-foot (2,115 and 2,521.8 newton-meters) of torque, and 12-speed mDRIVE HD transmissions. They also feature Bendix Wingman Fusion systems, which integrate cameras and radar with the truck’s brake system to provide collision mitigation, distance alerts, lane departure warnings, and more.

    One model also has an in-dash infotainment system coupled with a backup camera. That same model features a Mack FXL 13.2 13,200-pound (5,987-kilogram) front axle, while the other has a Mack FXL12 12,000-pound (5,443-kilogram) front axle.

    Mack Pinnacle & Granite

    The Mack Pinnacle is a day cab model that features a 505-horsepower (376.6-kilowatt) MP8-505C engine that produces up to 1,860 pounds-foot of torque, 12-speed mDRIVE HD AMT, and Mack FXL14.6 14,600-pound (6,622-kilogram) front axle.

    The Mack Granite features a Simard twin-steer front axle and is configured as a stone slinger. It features a Mack MP8-505M engine that produces 505 horsepower and up to 1,860 pounds-foot of torque, a 13-speed mDRIVE transmission, and Mack S462R 46,000-pound (20,865-kilogram) rear axles.
