At the WasteExpo 2019 event that ran from May 6th through the 9th in Las Vegas, Nevada, International highlighted its new Diamond Partner Program and also had two International HV Series trucks on display, one of which sported a pink paint job “to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research,” International said. “Once the show is concluded, 100% of the first month’s rental fee for the vehicle will be donated to a breast cancer awareness foundation,” the company added.

“We have so many exciting things going on at International Truck, especially with our outstanding, recently refreshed lineup of vocational products,” said David Hillman, general manager, vocational trucks, for Navistar. “With this new lineup, along with our strong focus on creating mutually beneficial relationships across the industry, International Truck is making great strides in becoming the premier partner for vocational truck owners.”

    HV Series Trucks

International had two HV 607 models on display at the show, one with a 25-yard body and 3rd Eye rear vision camera and the other with a drop frame body and a DriverFirst cab. The HV 607 is available with either a Cummins B6.7 engine that produces up to 360 horsepower (268 kilowatts) and 800 pounds-foot (1,085 newton meters) of torque or a Cummins L9 engine that offers up to 450 horsepower (336 kilowatts) and 1,250 pounds-foot (1,695 newton meters) of torque. They also have options for Eaton Fuller manual, Eaton UltraShift+ and Fuller Advantage automated manual, or Allison automatic transmissions.

    Diamond Partner Program

International’s Diamond Partner Program, which only just launched in March, has more than 100 members and serves as a way to strengthen the relationship between International dealers and truck equipment manufacturers (TEMs). Members get access to a dedicated application engineer who will look over their account and International will send out a cross-functional team to analyze a TEM’s chassis specifications and offer optimization recommendations. Technicians working for member TEMs get access to Diamond Logic electrical system training. Diamond Partners will also receive invitations to joint customer events, including a tour of Navistar’s Worldwide Headquarters in Lisle, Illinois.
