Mack In Black: New Limited Edition Anthem Model Unveiled At NACV Show 2019

At the North American Commercial Vehicle Show, Mack Trucks announced the availability of 500 limited edition Mack Black Anthem models, all of which feature “blacked-out” exteriors and interiors. The exterior of each 70-inch stand-up sleeper truck sports a black paint job and black exterior trim package, which includes the Mack logo, powder-coated black cab steps and deck plates, stripes on the air intakes on the hood, mudflap brackets, aluminum fuel tanks, and limited edition doorplate, all in black. The limited edition model, now available for order, also features Alcoa Dura-Black aluminum wheels and a special black Mack Bulldog hood ornament.

“We showed a blacked-out concept at the launch of the Anthem in 2017 and received incredible feedback from drivers,” says Roy Horton, director of product strategy for Mack Trucks. “We took their feedback, combined the unique exterior treatments with special interior features, and created the Mack Black Anthem you see today.”

Mack Black Anthem Interior Features

The interior of the Mack Black Anthem features the company’s Ultra trim level with black wood dash and door panel accents and black gauge bezels. Other blacked-out features include the trademark flat-bottomed steering wheel, Sears Seating ultra-leather seats, and limited edition dash plate. The seats feature a stitched diamond pattern on a Mack Bulldog logo, and both door panels and the trim on the side and rear walls in the sleeper cab feature the same stitching. Along with the special interior and exterior features, Black Anthem owners will also receive a YETI cooler with a custom watch, Bulldog keychain, a die cast Black Anthem model truck, and other Mack memorabilia.
