At this year’s North American Commercial Vehicle Show, which took place in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 28 to 31, Mack Trucks had eight Mack Anthem and two Pinnacle models on display. Each of the trucks the manufacturer showed has a Mack MP8 engine that ranges from 415 to 505 horsepower (309.5 to 376.6 kilowatts) and produces between 1,360 and 1,860 pounds-foot (1,843.9 and 2,521.8 newton meters) of torque. Nine of the trucks have 12-speed Mack mDRIVE automated manual transmissions, with a lone 13-speed mDRIVE HD with creeper gear in the mix. Other shared features include the Mack ClearTech One exhaust aftertreatment system, Mack GuardDog Connect telematics platform, and Bendix Wingman Fusion advanced driver assistance system.

    Special Edition Mack Anthems

In addition to standard models, Mack also had two special-edition Mack Anthems on display, one of which was Zac Brown Band’s highly customized 70-inch Stand-Up Sleeper truck, which features custom paint, graphics, wheels, and reclaimed hardwood flooring in the cab as well as extra chrome and stainless accents. The truck, which the band relied on for its Down the Rabbit Hole tour, also features a Mack Twin Y rear air suspension. The other special anthem was another 70-inch Stand-Up Sleeper model that is equipped with a Mack 6x2 Liftable Pusher Axle and is driven by Hell Bent Xpress owner Jamie Hagen.

    Other Models On Display

Of the remaining six Anthem models on display at NACV Show 2019, four featured the 70-inch Stand-Up Sleeper and two had day cabs. All but one had Mack FXL12.5 12,500-pound (5,670-kilogram) front axles, three had Mack S40 40,000-pound (18,144-kilogram) rear axles, and two 6x2 Liftable Pusher Axles. One of the sleeper cab models also featured the Mack HE+ efficiency package and a Mack Maxlite40EZ rear air suspension.

One of the Pinnacle models was a 70-inch Stand-Up Sleeper with a Mack FXL12 12,000-pound (5,443.1-kilogram) front axle, Mack S40 40,000-pound rear axle, and Mack AL401 rear air suspension.
