Kenworth Will Have Nine Vocational Trucks On Display At CONEXPO, Including T880 & T880S Mixers
Kenworth will feature nine vocational trucks at this year’s CONEXPO-CON/AGG construction trade show, which takes place in Las Vegas from March 10 to 14. The lineup includes a mix of T880, T880S, C500, T270, and W990 models in a wide range of configurations. “Kenworth’s strong vocational lineup is designed for low operating costs, durability, and excellent performance in challenging applications,” says Laura Bloch, assistant general manager for sales and marketing at Kenworth. “Kenworth customers can depend on our trucks to get the job done in their specific vocational application.”
Kenworth T880 & T880S
The primary focus of the show is the T880, which Kenworth points out is ideal for “bulk haul, mixer, dump, heavy haul, oilfield, logging, and refuse applications.” It comes in several cab configurations, including a day cab, a 40-inch flat-top sleeper cab, and 52-inch and 76-inch mid-roof sleeper cabs. The T880S version is available in twin steer and set-forward front axle configurations, as well.
T880 models on display at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 will include models with Con-Tech 12-yard (11-meter) BridgeKing mixers, Beck 11-yd (10-m) Vortex pavers, Schwing S 32X 32-m (35-yd) truck-mounted concrete pumps, Custom Truck cranes, and Altec Effer cranes. The lone T880S features a McNeilus 11.5-yd (10.5-m) M80 paver drum. Engines include PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 models ranging from 430 to 565 horsepower (320.7 to 421.3 kilowatts). They also feature a mix of transmissions, including Allison 4500RDS six-speed and 4700RDS seven-speed automatic transmissions.
Kenworth W990, C500 & T270 Models
Other trucks on display at Kenworth’s booth will include a W990 with an OSW Equipment and Repair tapered dump body, a C500 heavy hauler from Toronto-based Agnico Eagle, and a T270 with a TRUVAC Paradigm vacuum excavator. These models also have a mix of transmissions, including Allison 6620 SP CEC5 and 3000RDS six-speed transmissions. The W990, C500, and T270 have 485-, 605-, and 330-hp (361.7-, 451-, and 246-kW) engines, respectively.
