Specific models included a Peterbilt 567 hydro excavator, a 348 fuel and lube truck, a 337 with an Ultra day cab and van body, a 337 with a service body and crane, and a 220EV featuring an all-electric Dana powertrain. More Peterbilt 220EV Details
At CES in January, Peterbilt announced a partnership with Dana involving electric powertrains. The first result of that collaboration is the 220EV battery electric truck, which takes advantage of the Dana Spicer Electrified e-propulsion system. The 220EV features two battery backs as well as an on-board charger. Peterbilt expects the truck to have a range of between 100 and 200 miles (160 to 320 kilometers) and adds that “using the vehicle’s DC fast-charging system, the state-of-the-art, high-energy density battery packs can recharge in about an hour.” The company says that makes the 220EV “ideal for local pickup and delivery, as well as short regional-haul operations.”
