Kenworth’s T680E Battery-Electric Truck Takes A Bow At CES 2022
Kenworth recently unveiled the new T680E battery-electric vehicle at CES 2022 in Las Vegas. CES, which began as the Consumer Electronics Show in 1967, has become the premier stage for showcasing new technologies and products, including cutting-edge vehicle tech. The zero-emissions T680E is designed for pickup and delivery, regional haul, and drayage applications, and is available as a day cab in either a tractor or straight truck configuration.
About The T680E
The T680E is a Class 8 vehicle featuring Meritor’s Blue Horizon 14Xe tandem electric powertrain which provides 536 continuous horsepower and up to 670 HP of peak power along with 1,623 pounds-foot (2,200 newton-meters) of torque. The battery-electric truck has a gross vehicle weight rating of 82,000 pounds (37,195 kilograms) and an estimated operating range of 150 miles (240 kilometers), depending on the application. It can reach a top speed of 65 mph. The vehicle charges using the industry standard SAE CCS1 charge port and can fully charge in approximately three hours.

The T680E is just one of Kenworth’s electric vehicles. The company also offers the Class 7 K370E and Class 6 K270E, as well as EV charging stations from PACCAR.
