The Sakai SW884ND Guardman® is a flagship 14-ton highway-class tandem roller that pairs high-tonnage compaction output with active jobsite collision-prevention technology. Driven by a high-performance 130 HP Cummins turbo diesel engine, this production machine is outfitted with Sakai’s integrated Guardman® automatic braking system, using advanced millimeter-wave radar to detect obstacles through dense steam and dust, automatically stopping the machine as a last resort to protect ground personnel. It features massive 79-inch drums powered by a low-maintenance, gear-driven dual-axis system, enabling the operator to select between traditional vertical vibration and horizontal forward-and-back oscillation on the fly.
