John Deere Adds New Zero-Turn Mowers To Its Portfolio
Professional landscapers need mowers that can get the job done on different types or terrain, which sometimes means being able to get into areas that traditional lawnmowers simply can’t handle in an efficient way. That’s where zero-turn mowers come into play, and John Deere recently added two new models to its ZTrak line of z-turns with the ZTrak Z945M and then ZTrak Z955M. These commercial zero-turn radius mowers not only give you the ability to get in and out of tight quarters, but they also have more horsepower and better fuel efficiency to boot.
Features & Capabilities
While both models are similar in a lot of ways, there are some key differences between the two that may make them a better fit for your operation. The Z945M sports a 27 HP, 824 cc EFI engine while the Z955M has a 29 HP version of the same engine. Both of these models have options for 60-inch side discharge or 60-inch Mulch On Demand (MOD) decks, and the Z955M also has the option of a 72-inch side discharge deck. These different configurations give you the versatility you need to complete different tasks, whether you want to collect clippings for a clean look or mulch the area you’re mowing.
Operator Comfort
John Deere is never one to only innovate in terms of technology, because they also take comfort and convenience into account with every new product or iteration they deliver. The Z945M and Z955M zero-turn mowers are no different because they have improved ride comfort over previously available models and are designed for a pleasant user experience across the board. The seat has a thicker cushion and extra padding in the backrest for longer mowing sessions and there’s an option for a premium suspension seat as well. Every aspect of these new ZTrak mowers has been designed from the ground up to deliver on power, efficiency, and comfort.
