Recent Entries In Massey Ferguson’s MF 5700 Global Series
Building on its successful MF 5700 Global Series tractors, Massey Ferguson recently added two new tractors to the lineup to provide customers primarily in the European market with a greater range of options. The two new models are the 85-horsepower MF 5708 and the 95-horsepower MF 5709. Both of these new tractors include the Dyna-4 transmission in a 3-cylinder engine as well as some features that keep them in line with the 5700 series and other features that set them apart.
Building On A Strong Foundation
Companies talk about remembering their roots and innovating on what came before, and that’s literally the case with these new tractors. They are built on MF 5700 chassis, which have a 4.3-ton lifting capacity as well as a 7.6 feet (2.3 meters) wheelbase. However, just because they share the same chassis, that doesn’t mean the 5708 and 5709 are exactly the same as their older siblings. They feature the aforementioned Dyna-4 transmission, but with 16 forward and 16 reverse speeds instead of the 12x2 configuration found on some of the older models. And they have options for the Visio Roof, which gives better general visibility, as well as a cab suspension alternative designed specifically for operator comfort.
Expanded Lineup
Other models in the 5700 Global Series include the MF 5710 110 HP, MF 5711 110 HP, MF 5712 120 HP and MF 5713 130 HP. While the 5710 shares the same 3-cylinder engine with the Dyna-4 transmission as the 5708 and 5709, the 5711, 5712, and 5713 models all have options for 4-cylinder engines with either Dyna-4 or Dyna-6 transmissions. This is where you’ll find some variation between models to account for when picking the right one for the job.
