Case IH Updates Magnum Tractors For 2019
Global agriculture equipment manufacturer Case IH has announced a new warranty program, factory-fit telematics, new track and tire options, and other updates to its 2019 model year Magnum wheeled and Rowtrac tractors. Case IH says the updates position new Magnum models to better help producers manage operational costs while increasing uptime. The Magnum lineup includes nine models ranging from 180 to 380 horsepower. Besides wheeled and Rowtrac configurations, Case IH offers the Magnum in a Scraper configuration for site prep, land leveling, and other earthmoving applications.
Control Center
The new warranty Case IH is applying to 2019 Magnums covers three years and 2,000 hours. Designed to help manage cost of ownership and repair costs, the warranty program pertains to all models and configurations covering Magnum 180 to 380 models.
Additionally, all model year 2019 Magnums will come with factory-fit telematics and a one-year subscription to AFS (Advanced Farming System) Connect, which is a control center “for all tractor-to-cloud-based information transfer and management.” Case IH says customer-focused enhancements to AFS Connect include agronomic- and tractor-related data that can help producers “work smarter and get more done each day by letting cellular communication be their messenger service.”
Tires & Tracs
The updates also include a new 21-inch track option for Rowtrac tractors to “maximize flotation and minimize plant root zone interference,” particularly on beds with 38-inch (96.5-centimeter) and 36-inch (91.4-centimeter) row spacing. Case IH also says 2019 Magnums will be fit with track options supporting a maximum 25 mph speed. Rowtrac tractors will also feature polyurethane roller wheels with a lug bolt/wheel hub design that enables easier removal and replacement. An option for new factory-installed Goodyear LSW 1100/45 R46 rear and 1000/40 R32 front tires is also available for the Magnum 250, 280, 310, 340, and 380 wheeled models.
