Caterpillar is expanding its line of Cat utility vehicles, including the CUV82 and CUV102 D introduced last year, with the addition of the CUV85 and CUV105 D models. These new entries in the series have a second seating row and can hold up to five passengers. They both feature a four-wheel independent suspension with front sway bar, continuously variable transmission, column shifter, electric power steering, and the option for two-wheel or four-wheel drive.

    Power & Comfort

The CUV85 sports a 0.8-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 50 horsepower and a top speed of 45 mph; the CUV105 D has a 1.0-liter three-cylinder diesel engine that produces 25 horsepower and a top speed of 25 mph. Both models have a rear cargo capacity of 1,000 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.

Caterpillar’s new five-seat UTVs are built for maximum operator and passenger comfort. The company worked to keep noise levels and vibration to a minimum, the driver seat and steering wheel are adjustable, and there is enough space in the cab for riders of all heights. The UTVs provide storage for documents and other smaller items behind the seats, and you can remove the bases of the passenger seats for extra cargo space. Caterpillar also offers more than 50 accessory options to customize your UTV, which comes prewired for DIY upgrades. Examples include a weather-tight enclosure, heater, backup alarms, front winch, work lights, and more.

    Long-Term Support

Caterpillar designed the CUV85 and CUV105 D for easier maintenance with more accessible service points and an on-board advanced diagnostics system. Cat dealers that sell UTVs will offer service and support for routine maintenance, choosing accessories, and much more.
