New Kubota B01 Series Of Compact Tractors Aimed At First-Time Operators

In addition to the B2601 model shown here, Kubota recently introduced a new B2301 tractor model as part of a new B01 series of compact tractors designed with first-time operators in mind. (Photo courtesy of Kubota.)

Kubota has introduced a new B01 Series of compact tractors it says are built with first-time operators in mind. Initially comprised of the B2301 and B2601 models, the B01 tractors are now available via authorized Kubota dealers. The B2301 features a liquid-cooled, three-cylinder Kubota D1005 E-TVCS (three-vortex combustion system) engine that outputs 20.8 gross horsepower, while the B2601 includes a three-cylinder Kubota D1105 E-TVCS engine providing 24.3 gross horsepower. Both models feature a three-range hydrostatic transmission (HST).

    Versatile & User-Friendly

Besides producing compact tractors, Kubota manufactures and sells sub-compact, economy utility, utility, specialty, agriculture, and tractor loader backhoe tractors in various series, as well as mowers, construction equipment, hay and farm implements, and utility vehicles. Jacob Sherman, Kubota product manager for compact tractors, says the B01 Series is the “essence of flexibility and ease of use.” That’s due to such features as drive-over mid-mount mower deck connections and the LA435 Swift-Tach front-end loader, which is compatible with the tractors’ single-lever quick coupler.

Using the one-lever quick-coupler, Kubota says operators can remove the LA435 in less than 70 seconds without leaving the operator platform. The three-range HST, meanwhile, enables smooth shifting and powerful performance during heavy-duty loader applications, Kubota says. Besides the front loader and 54- and 60-inch (137.16-centimeter and 152.4-centimeter) drive-over mower deck options, the B01 Series models can accept rake, digger, snow blower, BH70 backhoe, and a host of other implements.

Kubota’s new B2301 and B2601 compact tractors, both member of Kubota’s new B01 series, can accept a wide range of front and rear implements, including rakes, diggers, snow blowers, tillers, scrapers, and the BH70 backhoe. (Photo courtesy of Kubota.)
    Easy To Operate

In a nod to first-time operators, the B2301 and B2601 includes numerous features designed to make operation easier and safer. Examples include an intuitive control layout containing ergonomic controls, an easy-to-read dash panel featuring large gauges, cruise control ability, a hydraulic independent PTO, and a foldable ROPS (rollover protection system).
