AFS Connect Magnum Series Tractors Receive ASABE 2020 Innovation Award
Modern agriculture equipment is often equipped with high-tech data connectivity and monitoring tools. But in recognizing the AFS Connect Magnum Tractor series from Case IH with an AE50 award in late December, the ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers) highlighted the ease with which operators can manage, monitor, adjust, and transfer machine and agronomic data. The tractor’s completely redesigned operating system, for example, provides time-saving innovations like remote display viewing, quick service diagnostics, and easy software updates.
Advanced Technology
There are several key components of AFS Connect Magnum Series tractors, including the new AFS Pro 1200 display with Bluetooth support, the configurable AFS Vision Pro operating system, and the telematics portal (soon to be available through the mycaseih.com website) that provides farm managers with real-time access. Using AFS Connect, managers can see what’s on the display inside the cab of the AFS Connect Magnum Series Tractor in the field from anywhere they have internet access. Furthermore, AFS Connect can share guidance lines, boundaries, prescriptions, and other data with all of your connected machines so operators only have to set them up once. The system is compatible with model year 2010 and newer equipment.
Comfort & Control
The ASABE jury also noted the AFS Connect Magnum series’ redesigned cab, citing “The new semi-active cab suspension and improved front axle suspension provide the operator with optimal ride comfort during long hours in the field.” The redesigned cab interior also features advanced user controls like a MultiControl armrest with eight buttons, a MultiFunction handle with four programmable hotkey buttons, and an encoder knob.
