AGCO Introduces New Fendt Vario & 700 Gen 6 Tractors, IDEAL Combine For North America
AGCO introduced five new products for North America from its Fendt brand this week during live YouTube broadcasts held for dealers and media members. The machines include new tracked Fendt 900 Vario and 1100 Vario MT tractors, 700 Gen 6 tractors, 300 Vario tractors, and the IDEAL 10 combine, which is also available in a tracked 10T variant. A virtual public preview of the equipment via YouTube is planned Aug. 21, and you can get in on that by registering at Fendt’s website. The products will also factor into the Farm Progress Virtual Experience happening September 15 to 17.
Gaining Momentum
AGCO North America General Manager and Senior Vice President Bob Crain says that with these announcements, AGCO is for the first time offering a comprehensive Fendt tractor lineup for North American livestock, hay, and large-acreage crop producers. The offerings represent the next chapter for AGCO, its expanding dealer network, and current and future customers, he says. AGCO previously introduced a new Fendt Momentum planter in January for North America.
With the IDEAL 10/10T, AGCO says it has the combine with the highest horsepower and largest separation capacity in North America. The combine uses a MAN 16.2-liter diesel engine that generates 790 horsepower. Its separation area is 12% larger than the IDEAL 9’s and its harvest capacity 20% greater.
Talking Tracks
The new 900 Vario MT and 1100 Vario MT use AGCO’s patented MTS Smart Ride track system, a VarioDrive CVT stepless transmission, and the Fendt iD low-rev engine management system. The three-model Fendt 900 Vario MT lineup uses a 9.8-liter AGCO Power engine that generates 380 to 431 horsepower, depending on the model, and provides 1,500 foot-pounds (2,033 newton-meters) of torque at 1,100 rpm.
The 1100 Vario MT includes four models from 511 to 673 hp equipped with six-cylinder MAN 16.2-liter engines. The lineup includes the 673-hp 1167 Vario MT, which AGCO says is the market’s largest two-tracked tractor. The tractors offer a steerable hitch option designed to enhance steering and ride performance when turning with “expansive” tillage tools and planters.
Even More Tractors
Also new is a six-model, multi-duty Fendt 700 Gen 6 lineup from 144 to 237 hp; the tractors use a Deutz 6.06-liter engine and have a new FendtONE in-cab customizable control interface. AGCO says they are also adjustable for narrow or wide row spacing. The Fendt 300 Vario midrange tractor lineup, meanwhile, is in its fourth generation and includes four models with 4.4-liter AGCO Power engines ranging from 100 to 132 hp.
