John Deere has introduced a new 6155MH specialty tractor to its M series that comes in a high-crop configuration featuring a rear drop axle, multiple transmission options, redesigned cab, and more. Deere says the tractor’s rear drop axle offers greater crop clearance under the axle as well as more drawbar clearance in comparison to tractors with a standard axle and high-clearance tires.

“The 6155MH is ideal for growers of high-value crops in California and Arizona, and for sugarcane producers in Louisiana and Florida," says John Deere Marketing Manager Dennis Ogle. "It's especially effective for field operations such as cultivating, harrowing, or spraying, or for pulling harvest trailers."

    6155MH Options

Deere says when equipped with 320/90R50 tires, the 6155MH provides 27 inches (685.8 millimeters) of drawbar ground clearance, meaning operators can safely pass over bedded and high-value crops such as vegetables, fruits, and spices. The tractor is powered by a 6.8-liter, six-cylinder, Tier 4 Final Deere PowerTech engine that generates 155 horsepower (115 kilowatts) of rated power and 172 HP (128 kW) maximum power.

The 6155MH comes with AutoTrac guidance technology integrated into the digital corner post display, which replaces the instrument cluster that was previously located behind the steering wheel. The redesigned cab also includes a mechanical or electrical configurable joystick with PowrReverser ability, a compact CommandARM console, a panoramic roof, and a mechanical cab suspension. Externally, optional Economy and Premium LED light packages are available.

    Constantly Improving

Transmission options for the 6155MH include PowrQuad PLUS 16 forward/16 reverse, AutoQuad PLUS 20F/20R, or CommandQuad PLUS 20F/20R. Buyers can also elect to add creeper slow-speed functionality via a factory installation as well as a closed-center hydraulic system with electronic selective control valves (SCVs), a front hitch with hydraulic SCVs, and a draft link with hooks.

"We are constantly improving our tractors by listening to feedback from our customers and then responding to their needs," Ogle says. "The 6155MH gives high-value crop growers the performance they expect, with more options to choose from, at a competitive price."
