Bobcat recently announced its new Toolcat UW53 and UW56 utility work machines, which replace the previous models and come with improvements inside and outside the cab. The UW53 works with more than 45 attachments in the front and Category 1 implements in the back to give operators a multi-purpose machine capable of handling myriad hauling, lifting, mowing, towing, and loading tasks.

    Better Lighting

The new UW53 has redesigned LED lighting that increases light dispersion and intensity while using less power. The embedded road lights have moved from the bottom of the front windshield to being integrated in the front fenders for better protection and unobstructed illumination. Rear work lights have also been upgraded to LED for better light dispersion.

    Smoother Operation

All-wheel steering and traction control provide enhanced maneuverability and the three-point hitch, power take-off, and high- and variable-flow hydraulics lend versatility. The 61-horsepower (45.5-kilowatt) engine is Tier 4 emissions-compliant, and Bobcat offers an optional turbo-charged engine as well. The Toolcat’s dual-drive response system has been updated for smoother acceleration and deceleration and automatically recalls drive response settings. The first setting provides smooth traction for driving between tasks, while the second setting initiates a more aggressive response during operation in low range to maintain hydraulic and traction power.

    A More Comfortable Cab

Inside the heated and air-conditioned cab, operators have an integrated 5-inch display and an ergonomically designed interior with controls and storage optimally located for easy access and comfortable control.

    Easy Maintenance

Bobcat says the UW53 is easier to maintain, thanks to a larger fuel filter, increased intervals between required oil filter changes, increased corrosion protection, larger in-cab access points, and an improved wiring harness.
