Massey Ferguson Introduces 500R Series Entry-Level Customizable Sprayer
Agco recently announced its new Massey Ferguson 500R Series sprayer, designed to be cost-effective and easy to use. The customizable sprayer is available in two models, the 740-gallon (2,800-liter), 212-horsepower (158-kilowatt) MF 525R and the 860-gal (3,250-L), 235-HP (175-kW) MF 530R. The sprayer has a modified carbon steel chassis with a non-welded frame for improved agility and traction in any field conditions.
The MF 500R Series sprayer will make its North American debut at the 2023 Farm Progress Show running August 29 to 31 in Decatur, Illinois.
About The 500R Series
The 500R Series sprayer has the same spacious cab design as the Massey Ferguson S Series tractor, providing noise and vibration reduction, ergonomic seating and controls, and almost 360 degrees of visibility. The sprayer is powered by a 7.4-L Agco Power engine and is equipped with smart all-wheel drive for increased power-to-ground transfer and maintenance of pump pressure at lower engine speeds to improve fuel efficiency.
The sprayer’s standard LiquidLogic system primes in 50 seconds to reduce waste and the sprayer’s 36 controllable boom sections provide precise application for further waste reduction. The advanced recirculation system moves liquid through the tank and the boom at a constant rate to ensure a uniform mixture. The LiquidLogic system takes 75% less time to clean and includes boom recovery and boom cleanout.
Flexibility For Maximum Yields
“Massey Ferguson keeps the farmer at the heart of everything we do,” says Darren Parker, vice president, Massey Ferguson North America. “Farmers need a robust, entry-level spraying solution that provides fast ROI and a low total cost of ownership. The MF 500R Series Sprayer gives producers the flexibility to apply product at the peak window for their particular crop, maximizing yields and positively impacting their bottom line.”
