Demco recently announced a new front folding auger for all its 2024 dual-auger grain carts and a new addition to the dual-auger grain cart lineup, the 1500. The newest dual-auger grain cart design is available with right- or left-side unloading auger positions. The front folding auger maintains low clearance on both sides of the cart. The corner auger design is retained to provide optimal visibility during unloading.

    About Demco’s 1500 Grain Cart

The 1500 is a 1,500-bushel (52,850-liter) power take-off (PTO)-driven cart. It has two output PTO shafts: one for the 20-inch (50.8-centimeter) horizontal auger and one for the 22-in. (55.88-cm) vertical auger. The automatic reset “cut-out” clutch with overrunning clutch protects the auger driver and the tractor PTO.

The adjustable austempered cast hitch fits category 4 or 5 hammer strap tractor drawbars. The 10,000-pound (4,536-kilogram) drop-leg tongue jack with a separate storage position allows for a tighter turning radius. The grain cart also has a narrow transport width of 14 feet (4.2 meters).

    Quality-Of-Life Features & options

The hand wheel-operated clean-out door at the bottom of the auger makes for easy season-ending clean-outs. The grain cart has reflective decals and LED lights for high visibility and low side height for improved clearance. The cart’s low center of gravity improves stability when operating on inclines.

Six lever-operated doors enable thorough trough clean-outs. A roll tarp protects the grain from the elements until it’s time to unload. An electric roll tarp is an available option.

The forward reach auger adjusts vertically from 12 to 16 ft (3.6 to 4.8 m) to prevent grain spills. The auger folds within the width of the box for transport and storage.
