Skyjack Elevate Delivers Actionable Insights For Off-Highway & Construction Rental Fleets
Leading up to The Rental Show that wrapped up last week in New Orleans, Skyjack released a weekly video series that examined how telematics have evolved throughout the on- and off-highway vehicle market over the past 10 years. At The Rental Show itself, Skyjack announced its new telematics service, Elevate.
Why Reinvent The Wheel?
"Building a connected fleet isn't a new concept dreamt up by Skyjack,” said David Swan, product manager at Skyjack, in a news release. “Traditional on-road fleets such as trucking companies have been using telematics for decades now. These products have worked well for on-road but those features and that cost model simply doesn't work for off-highway fleets. We've identified the most important data from our machines and focused on delivering value from every model that we build from scissor lifts to telehandlers."
Skyjack indicates that Elevate is a customizable service with “a focus on flexibility and the dynamic needs of our customers' rental fleets.” Perhaps most importantly, Skyjack hopes to lower the barriers to entry with Elevate by providing both off-the-line and retrofit solutions for telematics on an entire fleet.
Partnership With Trackunit
Skyjack worked with Trackunit to design Elevate. “Trackunit has been providing telematics solutions specifically for off-highway and construction rental fleets for more than a decade,” according the press release. Trackunit software also powers Skyjack’s Elevate ON and Elevate GO apps for mobile devices. The mobile apps allow rental companies to take full advantage of the safety, productivity, and utilization information captured and shared by Elevate. For rental companies, you’ll be able to see measurable benefits and actionable insights.
