Doosan Offers Optional Guarding Package For Its DL280-5 Wheel Loader
Doosan Infracore North America recently announced the availability of an optional guarding package for its DL280-5 wheel loader. The series of guards protects various machine components while performing particularly demanding tasks, such as processing scrap or demolition work. The package comes with guards for the articulation area, axle seal, front and rear belly pans, boom cylinder hose and tube, bucket cylinder, center hinge, drive shaft, headlight and taillight, steer cylinder, under cab, valve stem, and windshield. It also includes a heavy-duty cover plate for the front frame and a filter and screen for additional air-intake protection.
Doosan DL280-5
The Doosan DL280-5 has a 172-horsepower engine, operating weight of 34,262 pounds (15,540 kilograms), bucket capacity of 3.7 cubic yards (2.8 cubic meters), dump height of 9.2 feet (2.8 meters), and a bucket breakout force of 30,349 pounds (13,766 kilograms). It features an improved joystick that lets the operators switch between forward, neutral, and reverse while keeping their hands firmly on the controls.
The DL280-5 gives operators the choice of three power modes, including Economy Mode for improving fuel efficiency, Power Mode for prioritizing performance, and Normal Mode for everyday operation. Three years of Doosan telematics also comes standard with the wheel loader, providing fleet managers with remote monitoring capabilities for tracking operation hours, fuel consumption, error codes, and much more.
Optional Features
In addition to the optional guarding package, Doosan offers a quick coupler that makes it easier to change attachments. The Doosan DL280-5 is also available in a heavy-duty axle configuration to support the use of solid tires. If you opt for the heavy-duty axles, you’ll be able to add on an optional wide-fin radiator that “provides better cooling with larger fin spacing, helping to filter out dust and debris,” according to Doosan.
