SANY Launches First Hydraulic Wheel Excavator & More At Bauma Show
Chinese manufacturer SANY has an eye on increasing its sales in the European and American markets, the construction machinery manufacturer said earlier this month at the Bauma show in Munich, Germany. It showcased its first hydraulic wheel excavator, the new SY155W, among other new offerings.
Meet The SY155W
The SY155W is a 14.9-ton (13.5-metric ton) excavator designed for off-road performance, SANY says. It has a new transmission system and a 35-degree gradeability rating.
Powering the wheel excavator is a Tier 3 engine producing 161 horsepower (120 kilowatts). It can exert 23,000 pounds-force (102.3 kN) of digging force on its 0.76-cubic yard (0.58-cubic meter) bucket. Flow from each of the unit’s two variable-capacity hydraulic pumps is 42.3 gallons per minute (160 liters per minute).
The SY155W has a maximum dumping height of 20.3 feet (6.2 meters) and a max digging depth of 15.7 feet (4.8 meters). The tail swing radius for the unit is 7.6 feet (2.3 meters).
Other SANY Equipment
Besides the SY155W, SANY is highlighting its other excavators, being the top-selling manufacturer in its home country for the past eight years, it says. It is launching several emissions-compliant models for Europe and the U.S., including two large units, three medium-sized diggers, and eight mini excavators.
In SANY’s hoisting machinery category is the new SRC900C off-road crane. It comes with an automatic driving feature and a Cranemax hoisting simulation, the company says. Interestingly, a Kuwaiti customer bought an SRC900C on the first day of the show.
SANY is also showing roadbuilding machinery such as motor graders and roller compactors, and has launched its C-8 series variants. The company also brought some port machinery, along with the new SR285RW10 pile driver, which it calls efficient, reliable, and stable.
