The Broderson IC200-3H is a popular carry deck crane with a 15-ton (13.6-metric-ton) maximum lift capacity at a 6-foot (1.8-meter) load radius. Despite its compact dimensions—just under 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and wide in transport trim—it can attain a maximum tip height of 73 feet (22.3 meters) with an optional boom extension.
The pick-and-carry (self-loading carry deck) capacity of the IC200-3H is 17,000 pounds (7,700 kilograms) with the load centered on its 66-square-foot (6.1-square-meter) cargo deck area. The crane is adept at maneuvering into tight spaces and then bringing its considerable power to bear.
Boom
The IC200-3H uses a four-section main boom, in contrast to its three-section sibling the IC200-2H. The boom has a horizontal reach of 50 feet (15.2 meters) and a vertical reach of 58 feet (17.7 meters). With an optional extension, it can achieve a maximum horizontal reach of 66 feet (20.1 meters).
The crane’s boom rotation is continuous and 360 degrees. It can elevate its boom up to 73 degrees using a hydraulically powered, turret-mounted, planetary gear system. A rated capacity limiter comes standard.
Most of the crane’s operations on site are powered by a direct-driven, tandem hydraulic pump delivering 29 gallons per minute (110 liters per minute).
Chassis & Engine
The IC200-3H has a gross vehicle weight of 31,080 pounds (14,100 kilograms). Its chassis is 14 feet, 11 inches (4.55 meters) long.
In travel mode, the crane can reach a road speed of 18 mph (29 km/h), powered by a gasoline/LPG dual fuel engine. The standard 4.3-liter General Motors V-6 produces 93 horsepower (69 kilowatts). It is EPA Tier 2 emissions-compliant. Broderson has also offered Tier 4 Interim and Tier 4 Final engine options, such as a 100-horsepower (75-kilowatt) Cummins QSB3.3L turbo diesel.
The front wheel-drive IC200-3H uses a Powershift transmission, with four speeds forward and reverse. Wet multi-disc brakes reliably arrest its motion. The operator can select rear-wheel steering, crab steering, or four-wheel round steering. Using the last mode, the crane’s turning radius is just 14.4 feet (4.4 meters).
Options
Options for the IC200-3H include four-wheel drive, an all-weather cab, pneumatic tires, foam-filled tires, air conditioning, heat, defrost, an offsettable boom extension (0, 15, and 30 degrees), additional lights, a winch, better seats, a noise reduction package, and more.
