Bobcat Expands Excavator Portfolio, Goes Big With E145
As part of Bobcat’s Next Is Now launch, the 14-metric-ton E145 Excavator is Bobcat’s largest excavator ever and designed to complement the company’s 700- and 800-series track and skid-steer loaders. The large excavator helps to round out Bobcat’s product lineup and meet the needs of Bobcat customers who want to use Bobcat for all worksite tasks. The E145 Excavator offers features that improve operator productivity, including quick cycle times, a powerful hydraulic system, and reinforced arm and bucket pin-up points.
Built For Performance
Bobcat builds the E145 to be reliable with steady power from the Tier 4 engine rated for 115 horsepower (85.8 kilowatts) and class-leading hydraulic performance, highlighted by an arm digging force of 13,228 pound-feet. For productive lifting, the E145 boasts a rated lift weight of 19,270 pounds and a maximum reach of 27 feet, 11 inches. Bobcat offers four selectable power models on the E145 to let operators adapt to the work at hand, including a power-boost button that temporarily increases hydraulic power—ideal for breaking through hard ground.
Durability
To reduce the risk of downtime, Bobcat designed the E145 with several features that strengthen the excavator. For instance, there are hard, wear-resistant wear plates at the attachment connecting pin, which eliminate side play for extended service intervals on bucket pin-up points, and track pin links are permanently sealed and never need lubrication. The E145 also features an automatic belt tensioner to maintain constant tension on the engine accessory belt. Lastly, every major pin joint on the boom and arm is cast.
