Snorkel To Wow CONEXPO-CON/AGG With 'World’s Largest Self-Propelled Boom Lift'
“Mega Boom” is the nickname for a telescopic boom lift Snorkel plans to preview at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG construction trade show March 10 to 14 in Las Vegas. Officially called the 2100SJ, the big lift can reach an amazing platform height of 210 feet (64 meters) and lift up to 660 pounds (300 kilograms). Snorkel will be taking pre-orders for the Mega Boom at CONEXPO. Deliveries will commence early next year.
Redefining “Working At Height”
Snorkel’s engineering team designed the new 2100SJ in-house and came up with several patent-pending features. The lift’s 100 ft (30 m) of horizontal outreach is unmatched in the category, the company says. Its platform, which measures 8 by 3 ft (2.4 by 0.9 m), has three entrance points and can rotate up to 150 degrees. The lift is also equipped with a 30-ft (9.1-m) jib boom with a 128-degree working arc.
When stowed, the Snorkel 2100SJ has a modest transport width of 8.17 ft (2.5 m). The manufacturer says that it was built for easy transport as well as maneuverability, with the latter being enhanced by five available steering modes.
Find The Right Snorkel Lift
Snorkel says it plans to bring other new products to CONEXPO, including large-deck and ultra-high-capacity scissor lifts with up to 70-ft (21.3-m) working heights.
