At CONEXPO/CON-AGG 2020, which takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from March 10-14, Xtreme Manufacturing will add a new entry to its lineup of C-class telehandlers: the XR1734-C. Powered by a 3.8-liter, 120-horsepower (89.5-kilowatt) Cummins Tier 4 Final engine, the XR1734-C weighs 33,360 pounds (15,132 kilograms) and has a maximum lift capacity of 17,000 lbs (7,711 kg). It also has a forward reach of 17 feet (5.2 meters) and a max lift height of 34 ft (10.4 m).

Xtreme offers three cab options for the XR1734-C, including an open cab, an enclosed cab, and an enclosed cab with air conditioning and heating. The telehandler also comes with either solid or foam-filled tires, and will be compatible with a variety of attachments, such as buckets, personnel platforms, pole grapples, sling mounts, truss booms, and more. The new telehandler enters production in the second quarter of 2020.

Shared Features With Other Xtreme Telehandlers

Counting the three new models introduced at World of Concrete earlier this year, Xtreme now offers 22 telehandler models. Many of the company’s most recent offerings share much of the same design DNA, with the same or similar cabs, chassis, and more. Xtreme says this design philosophy “helps to improve both operator and service technician familiarity” while also helping “to reduce parts inventory for customers running a fleet of Xtreme units.”

The cab features what Xtreme describes as “a more modern, user-friendly design” with “a USB charging port for charging cell phones and other devices.” Other features include extra air vents for improved circulation and storage compartments “for carrying straps, chains, and other items securely on the lift,” the company explains. The 360-degree-view cab is also modular, making it easy to transition between open and enclosed cabs with optional kits.

    More Models On The Way

Xtreme will also have renderings of new telehandler models on display at its CONEXPO booth, including the XR1285-B and XR2585-B. Both machines have maximum lift heights of 85 ft (26 m); the XR1285-B has a maximum lift capacity of 12,000 lbs (5,443 kg) and the XR2585-B has a lift capacity of 25,000 lbs (11,340 kg).
