Skyjack hailed the return of in-person events by showcasing new and popular existing lifts at the American Rental Association (ARA) Show in Las Vegas. The ARA Show is the largest equipment and event rental trade show in the world and features rental-specific education, networking events, and of course lots of equipment. The 2021 show, the 65th in the ARA’s history, has attracted more than 600 exhibitors. Skyjack has eight models on display, including the SJ3219 and SJ4740 scissor lifts, the SJ519 TH and SJ843 TH telehandlers, the SJ60 AJ+ articulating boom lift, the SJ9664 RT, the brand-new SJ16 E, and the recently launched SJ20 E.

    Scissor Lifts

The SJ3219 and SJ4740 Next Generation DC scissor lifts have working heights of 24.5 feet (7.47 meters) and 44.9 ft (13.69 m), respectively. The lifts feature a high-strength, impact-resistant control box, a single-location emergency lowering switch, a CAN bus-capable smart charger, and adjusted pothole protection for up to 45% improved ground clearance.

Skyjack’s new full-size rough-terrain scissor lift, the SJ9664 RT, has a working height of 70 ft (21.34 m) and AXLDRIVE, an axle-based four-wheel-drive system. It also features SMARTORQUE technology, SKYCODED onboard diagnostics, and an expansive workspace with reinforced scissor stack.

    Articulating Boom

The SJ60 AJ+ articulating boom uses SMARTORQUE technology, which Skyjack says lets a sub-25-horsepower (18.6-kilowatt) engine provide the same onsite job performance as larger engines. The articulating boom lift includes significantly less sensor and emission-regulation components. There’s no diesel oxidization catalyst (DOC) or diesel particulate filter (DPF) maintenance, for example, which saves rental fleet owners time and money.

    Telehandlers

TH-series telehandlers have an innovative cab design that lets operators switch between enclosed and open cabs or vice versa with basic hand tools, thanks to their flat glass panels’ bolt-on/bolt-off window retention system. The machines come standard with Skyjack’s yoke-mounted lifting hook, which possesses all of the telehandler’s maximum lifting capacity for safe under-slinging of loads. The SJ519 TH and SJ843 TH have lifting capacities of 5,500 and 8,000 pounds (2,495 and 3,629 kilograms), respectively, and have been updated with greaseless bearings and a high-pressure filter to reduce maintenance requirements.

    Showcasing Value

“The models we’re featuring at ARA all reflect Skyjack’s simple and reliable philosophy that delivers quality products and exceptional customer value,” says Skyjack Vice President of Marketing Malcolm Early. “We’re proud to showcase our most in-demand and sustainable machines that respond to our customers’ needs and ensure the best value for their money.”
