Hyster's new S2.0SD Platform Double Stacker is designed for efficiency and to increase productivity. The pallet jack can move loads up to 2.24 tons (2 metric tons), including double-stacked and open-sided pallet loads. Operators can work more efficiently with increased laden and unladen speed and a new tiller head and choice of driving modes.

“Managing costs is as important as ever, so the new Hyster platform double stacker is designed for dependability as well as productivity, with a low Total Cost of Ownership,” says Monica Radavelli, product manager warehouse, for Hyster. “It features heavy-duty components, robust design, a reliable electric system, and simple serviceability that applications can combine with additional options to further match the truck to the specific application.”

    Specs & Power

The Hyster S2.0SD has a large platform with rubber floor mat and side/rear operator compartment panels. The two-stage NFL mast has a long-lasting chain and lift heights of 5.4 feet (1,660 millimeters), 6.6 ft (2,020 mm), and 9.7 ft (2,980 mm) to provide operators with an ergonomic lifting option while the fold-up platform and compact design enable work in tight spaces. Fixed-platform models are also available. The S2.0SD is designed to take either a lead-acid or lithium-ion battery. The controller automatically recognizes the chemistry of the battery without the need to alter any parameters. A side plug allows lithium-ion batteries to be charged during breaks to enable use across multiple shifts.

    Safety First

The platform double stacker is equipped with an anti-trapping operator function as a standard safety feature. If the platform touches an obstacle, the operator presence sensor detects the position of the platform and can trigger a reversal in travel direction to allow the operator to move the stacker in the opposite direction for a brief time at a very low speed to move away from the obstruction.

    Optional Equipment

Available optional features include Hyster Tracker telematics, multiple light packages, an adjustable tiller, a key and keypad start system, a load backrest, load wheels, several drive wheel choices, a foot sensor, cold store conversion, multipurpose bars and clamps, a clipboard, and a bottle holder.
