In mid-March, Case Construction Equipment displayed three new small, wheeled, articulated loaders at the ConExpo-Con/Agg trade show held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The electrified SL22EV offers emissions-free performance as part of a group of seven new models for landscaping, farm work, tree service, and material-handling applications. The diesel-powered SL12 TR and SL35 TR, meanwhile, bring telescopic booms to the realm of small, rubber-tired wheel loaders. The handy new loaders will become available later in 2023 and into 2024, according to Case.

“The new small articulated loader lineup represents a very intentional bridge between our existing lineup of skid steers, compact track loaders and compact wheel loaders, and the new mini track loader line we’re also introducing at ConExpo,” says Brady Lewis, product manager, Case Construction Equipment.

    Turf-Friendly Workmates

The new Case articulated loaders range from 25 to 75 horsepower (18.6 to 56 kilowatts) with 1,200- to 5,000-pound (544- to 2,268-kilogram) rated operating capacities at 50% tipping load. The battery-electric model of the group, the SL22EV, can work quietly indoors or outdoors without fumes or the maintenance requirements of diesel-powered loaders. Case will offer the new machines with cab-style rollover protection systems (ROPS) or with foldable, open-ROPS configurations.

“The articulated design matched with light weight and turf tires allows for excellent agility that doesn’t tear up existing turf or other surfaces, all while still operating in a very compact footprint,” Lewis says.

    Attachment Versatility

“With a wide range of attachment options, these loaders are the ultimate support machines both for work in the yard and on site, on turf, and on improved surfaces,” says Lewis.

Smaller models in the new line will be able to use the same attachments as Case’s new mini track loaders, and larger units will be compatible with attachments for skid steers and compact track loaders.

“No one will outwork Case in meeting the demands of loading and material-handling applications,” says Lewis. “This new product line ensures a comprehensive range of options for businesses of all shapes and sizes.”
