Case showed off some new subcompact machinery at the recent Equipment Expo in Louisville, Kentucky, October 18 to 20. The manufacturer aims to provide powerful machines with construction-grade ruggedness that are also small in stature, easy to transport, and easy on turf. They include the TL100 stand-on mini track skid-steer loader, the SL22EV electric and SL12TR telescopic small articulated wheel loaders, and the CX25EV electric and CX42D zero-overhang mini excavators.

“We’ve designed these new machines so that landscaping teams, nurseries, forestry contractors, and others are set to take on the toughest business challenges” including a tight labor market, says Terry Dolan, vice president, North America, Case Construction Equipment.

“We’re entering the subcompact market with a full line of equipment and the full force of our 180-year heritage in practical innovation,” says Brad Stemper, product management lead, Case Construction Equipment. “That means we’ve done the research, listened to customers, and engineered solutions that deliver serious performance in machines sized for small contractors.”

Case TL100 Stand-On Mini Track Skid Steer

The brand-new Case TL100 stand-on mini track skid steer can work in confined spaces and fits through 36-inch (91.4-centimeter) gates. It can utilize more than 40 attachments to move dirt, grade, dig, set fence posts, grapple brush, and more. It has a rated operating capacity of 1,000 pounds (454 kilograms), standard auxiliary hydraulics, and an optional 14-pin connector for additional attachment support. The TL100’s Tier 4 Final engine requires no regeneration or diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). Case says the TL100 will become available in Fall 2023.

Case SL22EV & SL12TR Small Articulated Wheel Loaders

The new small wheel loaders from Case bring strong performance to the work site but have articulated steering that avoids the turf damage associated with skid steers. The SL22EV is an all-electric model that does its job quietly and with no emissions, indoors or out.

The conventionally powered SL12TR has a very long reach that allows it to do much more than a typical small wheel loader. The two new models are compatible with 110 existing Case attachments on the market. The manufacturer plans to release five more models to round out the small loader line in late 2023 and in 2024.

    Case CX25EV & CX42D Mini Excavators

The new Case CX25EV marries the power and durability of a Case mini excavator with all the benefits of a fully electric machine. The CX25EV is easy to use and comfortable to operate, the manufacturer says, with responsive controls and smooth movements.

The ability to work in tight spaces is a huge draw for mini excavators, and the new Case CX42D goes one better with the only true zero tailswing in its size class, according to the manufacturer. With zero overhang during the swing, the diesel-powered digger can work right up against homes, sheds, and other obstacles. The CX42D has standard multifunction auxiliary hydraulics, a second auxiliary circuit, and a 2-way blade. Options include a third auxiliary circuit and a 6-way blade.

The Case For Case Landscaping Equipment

“The landscaping industry is expected to continue solid and steady growth over the next 10 years,” Dolan says. “But with heavy competition and continued labor shortages, contractors will need every advantage they can get to work more cost-effectively and efficiently. That’s why Case has expanded and enhanced our lineup to ensure they have the right machine, with the right attachments, to do the work right.”
