New Holland is entering the small articulated loader market with five new models slated for 2024. The machines are designed for landscaping, snow removal, and light construction tasks in backyards and other areas with limited space and sensitive surfaces. They can be gentler on turf than a typical wheeled skid steer.

The new compact loader roster includes the internal-combustion ML12, ML12T, ML15, and ML23 and the lithium-ion battery-electric ML22X. Each conventionally powered model has 25 or 26 horsepower (18.6 to 19.4 kilowatts).

Here’s what you need to know about the new line of New Holland mighty mites.

    New Holland ML12

    • 36.2 inches (92 centimeters) wide
    • Hydrostatic four-wheel drive and an electrohydraulic differential
    • Lifting capacity and operating weight of 2,425 pounds (1,100 kilograms)
    • Tipping load capacity of 2,205 lbs (1,000 kg)
    • Lifting height of 85.4 in. (2.17 meters)

    New Holland ML12T (Telescopic)

    • Like the ML12, but with telescopic reach for greater versatility and the ability to load and unload large trucks and trailers
    • 2,646-lb (1,200-kg) small loader
    • Maximum lift height of 111 in. (2.82 m)
    • Tipping load capacity up to 1,650 lbs (748 kg)

    New Holland ML22X (Electric)

    • Lifting capacity of 4,850 lbs (2,200 kg)
    • Tipping load capacity of 4,528 lbs (2,054 kg)
    • Lifting height of 96.5 in (2.45 m)
    • 24.9-kilowatt battery supplies a runtime of about five or six hours on a charge
    • Fast-charge connector can fully recharge the ML22X in less than two hours
    • Onboard charger offers a full recharge in around 8.7 hours
    • Li-ion battery powered for recharging as opportunities arise, such as during breaks
    • Like other electric loaders, the ML22X generates no harmful fumes and has significantly lower maintenance requirements

    • Conventionally powered and able to handle challenging loads such as concrete, steel, and sections of fallen trees
    • Includes a cab with vinyl seat and armrests
    • Lifting capacity of 3,086 lbs (1,400 kg)
    • Tipping load capacity of 3,307 lbs (1,500 kg)
    • Weighs 3,472 lbs (1,575 kg)
    • Has an exterior mirror and an entry safety bar

    New Holland ML23 (26-HP)

    • Heaviest of the New Holland small articulated loader line but also the fastest
    • Travel speed of up to 12.4 mph (20 km/h)
    • Lifting capacity of 4,850 lbs (2,200 kg)
    • Tipping load capacity of 4,982 lbs (2,260 kg)
    • Lift height of 96.5 in.

    "Productivity & Precision"

“These new, small articulated loaders are the embodiment of New Holland Construction’s commitment to innovation and excellence,” says New Holland Construction North America Product Manager Daniel Kakareka. “They’re designed to empower our customers to accomplish more in confined spaces, with increased productivity and precision. Truly, refining the way we approach landscaping and light construction tasks.”
