Link-Belt Cranes has expanded its telescopic boom crawler crane lineup with the introduction of its new TCC-1800, which debuted at the CONEXPO CON/AGG trade show held March 3 to 7 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 180-ton (163-metric-ton) TCC-1800 bridges the gap between the 140-t (127-mt) TCC-1400 and the 250-t (227-mt) TCC-2500. Link-Belt says the TCC-1800 can maneuver under low, narrow structures and operate in confined areas, from data centers and bridges to refineries. Shipments should begin in Q3 2026.

Link-Belt says it developed the TCC-1800 using extensive customer input and with thousands of hours of design and testing to ensure it meets the company’s performance standards. “We identified a customer demand for telecrawler models between 150 and 200 tons,” says Product Manager of Crawler Cranes Michael Dawson. “The TCC-1800 is Link-Belt’s solution to fulfill this segment and answer the bell when it comes to customer needs.”

    TCC-1800 Specifications

Link-Belt emphasized reach and versatility in designing the new crawler crane. It has a 43- to 197-foot (13- to 60-meter), greaseless, 6-section, pin-and-latch boom as well as a 55-ft (16.8-m) bi-fold, hydraulically offsettable SmartFly jib. With up to three 18-ft (5.5-m) lattice extensions, the TCC-1800 can be configured for an impressive maximum tip height of 314 ft (95.7 m).

Link-Belt says transportability and jobsite flexibility were central to the crane’s design. Its main unit ships at under 108,000 pounds (49,000 kilograms) with boom, wire ropes, a 120-t (109-mt) hook block, and a 10-ft (3-m) SmartFly jib.

    Dual Track Extenders Per Side

The TCC-1800 is the first Link-Belt crane with two independent extension cylinders per side frame. This gives the operator the ability to extend and retract the tracks to an infinite number of positions from inside the cab. The crane has the Variable Confined Area Lifting Capacities (V-CALC) operating system and nine 360-degree lifting charts with counter-rotation and pick-and-carry options.

In the cabin, new ergonomic dual-axis controls include free swing and auto brake features. The cab’s 10-inch touchscreen hosts Link-Belt’s Pulse 2.0 Rated Capacity Limiter with ground bearing pressure alarms and fine metering capability, as well as onboard diagnostics, Wi-Fi updates, and remote troubleshooting functions.

    TCC-1800 Standard & Optional Features

The TCC-1800 uses a powerful and efficient Stage V/Tier 4 Final Cummins QSB6.7 diesel engine with an auto-idle feature. An available auxiliary power unit (APU) can run the cab’s climate control, displays, radio, and lighting systems without having to turn on the main engine.

Standard features include centralized grease and electrical locations, a wireless rigging remote, fall arrest anchors, and swing boundary poles. The crane borrows reliable undercarriage components from Link-Belt’s TCC-2500 for the efficiency benefits of parts commonality.
