Mack Trucks Announces Partnership with Petty’s Garage
Mack Trucks recently announced that it is partnering with Petty’s Garage, and as part of the deal is giving the garage a 2018 Mack Pinnacle Axle Back truck that’s specifically designed to haul vintage cars from city to city across the United State as part of the Performance Tour. This isn’t Mack’s first foray into stock car racing, as it is the Official Hauler of NASCAR and has supplied multiple Mack Pinnacle sleeper trucks to the organization. These trucks, similarly to the new one for Petty’s Garage, were specifically designed to handle NASCAR’s unique needs.
Storied Past
Petty’s Garage was founded by former driver and NASCAR legend Richard Petty in 2008 with its headquarters located in Level Cross, North Carolina. The facility itself has over 60 years of history building and tuning stock cars. This made it a perfect fit for Petty’s Garage, because the ultimate goal is to give customers the highest performance vehicles available with an emphasis on the overall driving experience.
Mack Pinnacle
The 2018 Mack Pinnacle Axle Back built for Petty’s Garage comes with an MP8-445C engine with enough horsepower to haul cars cross-country. It’s no secret why this model was chosen for the partnership because the general Pinnacle line of trucks is a workhorse that can handle everything from long-haul trucking to heavy-duty local hauling and everything else in between.
But in addition to raw power and performance, the Mack Pinnacle is also built for ultimate driver comfort, which is in lock-step with what Petty’s Garage tries to achieve with its customers. With newer Pinnacle models, Mack has continued to fine-tune every aspect, including adding more space in the cab, redesigning the seats, and putting controls in more convenient locations to save the driver from undue strain.
