Mack Anthem Makes A Strong First Impression At The Mid-America Trucking Show

    Posted On: March 23, 2018

Mack designed the new Anthem from the ground up to improve fuel efficiency.

Mack likes to make a splash at industry events, and that’s exactly what the company is doing at the 2018 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS), which started on March 22 and runs through March 24 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The event presents an opportunity for attendees to walk a show floor that’s over a million square feet in size, engage with more than 1,000 exhibitors, and see some of the most exciting vehicles on the market. This is the Mack Anthem’s first showing at MATS, and it’s a great opportunity to get a close-up look at what is sure to be a new staple in Mack’s truck lineup.

    Performance By Design

The Mack Anthem is a feat of engineering and design from the ground up. The bumpers, hood, roof, and all other aspects of the truck are designed to provide the best possible aerodynamics, which ultimately leads to better fuel efficiency and lower operating costs. In fact, Mack says the Anthem has 3% greater fuel efficiency than its own Mack Pinnacle Axle Back model. The truck is equipped with the Mack mDRIVE automated manual transmission, Mack axles, and the Mack MP8 engine with turbo compounding. The Anthem is available in day cab, 48-inch flattop sleeper, or 70-inch stand-up sleeper configurations, all of which are on display for MATS 2018 attendees at Mack’s booth (number 34105).

    Technologically Advanced

Mack is known for packing its trucks full of connected solutions, so it should come as no surprise that the Mack Anthem comes standard with Mack GuardDog Connect, which helps drivers and fleet managers monitor various performance metrics as well as general vehicle health to avoid unplanned stops and put together preventative maintenance schedules. Other Mack models that can take advantage of GuardDog Connect are the Mack Granite and Mack Pinnacle lines, which are also on display at MATS 2018.
