Axis TMS Customers Can Now Receive Vehicle Data Directly From OnCommand Connection
Navistar, parent company of International Trucks, recently announced its OnCommand Connection telematics solution will now integrate with Axis TMS software. Axis offers transportation management software, and with this new integration will become an official reseller of OnCommand Connection’s physical telematics devices. The two companies will work together to make it easier for their shared customer bases to manage their fleets and overall operations.
Vital Information In Real Time
"Working closely with our truck customers, we are keenly aware of the added value a leading fleet management software provider like Axis TMS can deliver when it is integrated with the up-to-the-second information about individual trucks and drivers that is provided by our OnCommand Connection telematics," says Andrew Dondlinger, vice president and general manager, Connected Services at Navistar. "We are pleased to welcome Axis TMS to our value-added reseller network and as an integrated partner."
Integration Details
The OnCommand Connection physical device works for all types of trucks and connects directly to the vehicle’s diagnostic service port. When you combine it with OnCommand Connection Electronic Driver Log (EDL), it tracks hours of service information in compliance with federal regulations. The new integration with Axis TMS gives customers automatic updates about hours of service, GPS coordinates, and other general vehicle information from the OnCommand Connection telematics device.
